With such an emphasis on the criminal side of society, there's immense potential for unique locations for the protagonist to experience firsthand.įor those looking for something new this season, Akudama Drive feels like it's at least worth a try. Man, Akudama Drive continues to be an absolute Tour de Force.
Alongside its characters, Akudama Drive should develop its world and truly focus on exploring everything it has to offer. Created by Studio Pierrot, this action-packed anime is set in a dystopian future in which Japan has become a highly advanced society, but one riddled with crime and corruption.

With its over-the-top criminals and executions broadcast like wrestling events, there's plenty of reason for viewers to be interested in what's to come next. 7.3 (2,294) Akudama Drive is a brand new anime television series that aired in October 2020 on Japanese television network AT-X. The best quality of this episode is easily its setting, which is a bit different than the average cyberpunk backdrop.
